نادي منصة الفن المعاصر لقراءة كتب الكوميكس يهتم بالتركيز على العوامل الثقافية والفنية والاجتماعية في كتب القصص المصورة المتنوعة.

ماهي أنشطة النادي؟

يتم اختيار كتابين في الشهر غالباً ليتمكن أعضاء النادي بقراءته ويتم مناقشة هذا الكتاب من خلال لقاء يجمع الأعضاء. وهنا أيضاً أنشطة أخرى مختلفة كلقاءات ومناقشات مختصة بفن ونقد الكوميكس وتحليلها.

كيف يدور النقاش حول الكتاب؟

يتم عادة طرح ٨ نقاط للنقاش حول الكتاب وتكون عادة مرتبطة بعناصر متعددة. ويتم أيضاً مقارنة الكتاب بالكتب التي تمت مناقشتها في الأشهر الفائتة. مدة النقاش ١٢٠ دقيقة تقريباً.

أهداف النادي:

١– تشجيع قراءة كتب القصص المصورة في الكويت.

٢– التركيز على أهمية القصص المصورة كجزء من الثقافة الأدبية للشخص والمجتمع.

٣– تنمية الجانب الفني مع الجانب الأدبي من خلال التعرف على أساليب رسم القصص المصورة المختلفة.

٤– تسليط الضوء على قضايا المجتمع المختلفة من خلال تحليل الأفكار التي يتم طرحها في الكتب والعلاقة بينها وبين القضايا الإجتماعية والسياسية والشخصية وغيرها.

What is CAP Comics Club?

It is a book club supported by the Contemporary Art Platform in Kuwait, it is dedicated to encourage the reading of comics and to concentrate on cultural, artistic, and social elements presented in comic books.

What are the Club’s activities?

Two books are selected on a monthly basis for the members to read. A discussion is scheduled for the members to discuss the book. There are additional activities for the club like panel discussions and talks related to the art of comics and its criticism in the region.

What kind of discussion does the Club run?

Usually there are 8 discussion points shared with the members of the club prior to the discussion. These points usually concentrate on the different elements presented in the book in relation to different cultural and social elements. The length of the discussion is 120 minutes.

CAP Comics Club Main Objectives:

1- To encourage reading comics in Kuwait on a broad spectrum.

2- To highlight the importance go comics as part of the cultural and literary identity of the person and the society.

3- To develop an aesthetic perspective through learning more about the different types of comics and the art styles used in the books.

4- To highlight some of the current social and political issues through the analysis and breakdown of the ideas in the books and their relation to their real world.
